Vitsi Ski Resort is a small ski center founded with a mainly athletic character (for racing and training). The distance from the city of Kastoria is only 22 km and most of the route is in a dense beech forest.
The road passes through the settlements Vyssinia and Oxia (characteristics of the flora of the area) and is just 1000 m from the traditional settlement of Polykerasos. Distance from the settlement of Nymfaio and the headquarters of Arcturos is only 11 km.
