About SnowReportMeteo
A forecast is most useful when it helps you make a decision. Will it rain or snow at the place you plan to ski, snowboard or visit? Is tomorrow a better day for the mountain? How much do the two models agree? These are the questions we want SnowReportMeteo to help you answer.
From SnowReport to weather around the world

Welcome to SnowReportMeteo!
SnowReportMeteo is an international weather forecasting platform developed by Cybex S.A., the company that founded SnowReport.gr in 1996 and installed its first mountain webcams in 2000, pioneering web live mountain imagery in Europe.
The platform is designed primarily for skiers, snowboarders, mountain enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers, as well as ski resort operators and anyone who needs reliable, location-specific weather forecasts.
The forecasting service, previously available through forecast.snowreport.gr, forecast.meteocam.gr, and meteoguru.com, is now expanding internationally under the name SnowReportMeteo.com.
The platform provides weather forecasts for ski resorts worldwide, text and audio weather alerts, comparisons between the GFS and ECMWF forecasting models, elevation-adjusted snowfall estimates, and historical forecast analysis.
This historical analysis will form the foundation for developing an intelligent forecast correction algorithm designed to improve the accuracy of local weather predictions.
We will keep you updated as we introduce new features and improvements to the platform.

The infrastructure behind the forecasts
SnowReportMeteo runs on two dedicated servers that share the work of processing forecast data, managing weather databases and delivering forecasts to visitors.
More than a temperature for the nearest town
Conditions at the place you plan to ski, snowboard or visit can change considerably with elevation, from the base of the lifts to the summit. You can choose a location and elevation, then look at temperature, precipitation, wind and the freezing level together. Compare GFS with ECMWF, explore the forecast graphs or follow the weather across a wider area on the maps.
A forecast, a camera and an observation tell different stories
A webcam gives you a view of conditions where it is installed. A weather station records conditions at its sensors. A forecast describes what a model expects to happen. We bring these together where they are available, while keeping the distinction clear. A snowy photograph is not evidence of today's snow cover, and a camera may be offline or showing an older image.
Checking forecasts against real weather
Our observations comparison pages match available station readings with forecasts and show their recent differences. You can also explore earlier forecast runs where we have archived them. It is a useful way to see how predictions hold up at a particular location; it is not a guarantee of the next forecast's accuracy.
Weather alerts for places that matter to you
You can save up to three places and choose the weather thresholds that matter to you. Audio alerts, email and supported browser notifications help you follow those places. Spoken alerts need an enabled, running browser page; a sleeping or closed device cannot be relied on to speak an announcement.
Help us make the information better
Forecasts, descriptions and camera links need care. If you spot an incorrect place name, an outdated description or a camera that no longer works, please send us the page address and a short explanation. For a forecast problem, include the location, date, model and elevation you selected. You can reach us at info@snowreport.gr.
